Last December 2015 took place the APDA (Portuguese Association of Water and Waste Water Services) awards competition, held biannually (ENEG), and designed to recognize and appropriately honour the Portuguese’s water utilities for creating business value.

The APDA is a non-profit association that defends and represents the interests of all stakeholders responsible for water supply and waste water. It was founded in 1988 with the aim to contribute to the formulation and implementation of water sector policies not only in Portuguese but also in International levels. APDA also promotes reflection, knowledge and discussions around the major themes related to water.

At this event, InfraQuinta, a company responsible of the infrastructure management of Quinta do Lago (a well known tourist area in south of Portugal), received the honourable APDA award, Tubos de Ouro 2015, as “Best innovative action”. InfraQuinta implemented Giswater for the hydraulic model management of drinking water supply network during 2015. This implementation was a very useful tool for the InfraQuinta’s Master Plans for Drinking Water Supply and also for its daily management at Quinta do Lago.

The award, the first attributed to the Giswater solution, had the particularity of being received outside of Spain and without the supervision of the Giswater team, a fact that make us feel even more proud!
