The governor of the state of Piauí and other institutional representatives wanted to know firsthand the design and construction projects of water networks that have been developed in Brazil using Giswater. The meeting was facilitated by the CWP water cluster (Catalan Water Partnership) and by ACCIÓ, the Catalan agency for the competitiveness of companies.

The state of Piauí is located in the northeast of Brazil and has a population of over 4 million inhabitants. Their representatives were especially interested in the project implemented by BGEO in Sao Caetano do Sul (Sao Paulo) in 2016 and whose main objective was to reduce water losses in the network. To do this, a Geographic Information System (GIS) was implemented, connected to the telemetry elements and the commercial database, resulting in the possibility of carrying out the hydraulic model or service index calculations in a fully integrated way in the system. using network data with permanently updated information.
