The 22th of October, we participated to the Geocamp ES unconference that was organized by Geoinquiets and ACTIG (The Catalan Association of Geospatial Information Technologies) which was held in Barcleona and it was a pleasure to be a sponsor of this event.
The journey started with a white board where everyone that wanted to share something with the audience, could submit his demand on a post-it. After putting in order the different post-its, the event could start.We could enjoy 14 talks about different topics, some of them more technical ,other more focused on user’s experience and also some inicitiaves were presented.
In this occasion, Josep Lluís, one of the partner of BGEO could share with the audience our developed project, Giswater. Giswater is a free and open source software for the integrated water management that permits to connect hydraulic simulations programs like EPANET or SWMM to databases and Geographic Information System (GIS). Thanks to that it is possible to work in an integrated way with all those technologies that permit, among other things, to improve the infrastructure assesment management or to realize better master plans. During the presentation, Josep also annouced the new version 2.0 of Giswater that is plan to be released at the beginning of 2017. In this version, a QGIS plugin will be available.
