{"id":2434,"date":"2018-12-10T14:30:28","date_gmt":"2018-12-10T14:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bgeo.es\/?p=2434"},"modified":"2018-12-14T12:11:11","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T12:11:11","slug":"training-of-giswater-3-in-brazil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgeo.es\/en\/training-of-giswater-3-in-brazil\/","title":{"rendered":"Training of Giswater 3 in Brazil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">5 days, 8 hours a day, 15 themes, 27 participants and 2 trainers were some of the numbers that marked a new edition of the course on GIS, the course \u201cAplica\u00e7\u00e3o de Software GIS livre, integrated with hydraulic simulation (EPANET) for Cadastro, Projetos e Gest\u00e3o de Redes Abastecimento de \u00c1gua\u201d, where for the first time version 3 of Giswater in Brazil was explained and used.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\"> The training promoted by the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Brasileira de Engenharia Sanit\u00e1ria e Ambiental &#8211; ABES Se\u00e7\u00e3o S\u00e3o Paulo (ABES-SP) and given by the specialists Josep Llu\u00eds Sala, of BGEO, and Marcelo Eduardo Porem, took place at its headquarters from the 3rd to the 7th of December, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">The use of the integration of the QGIS program with EPANET was addressed, through Giswater and the PostgreSQL database, applied to practical cases of hydraulic modeling, management and operation of water supply systems; tools for the Inventory, Management and Planning of Water Supply Networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Josep Llu\u00eds Sala, highlights his satisfaction with the completion of the course &#8220;We already made it here other times and this year&#8217;s edition met our expectations. The training is long, with many hours and content, but I think the students have learned a lot on the subject and they are satisfied with the vision of how free software can help improve their services. I am very happy with the result.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The action aimed at engineers and technologists working in planning, studies, projects and operation of water supply systems, presented a varied group and participants from various companies and regions.
