They quickly discovered the great potential that these technologies had to offer, not only to their organization but also to other organizations and institutions related to them. In consequence, they decided to train their staff in order to familiarize them with these innovating and upcoming technologies.<\/p>\n In conjunction, they were developing their own driver, for water systems analysis, capable of connecting GIS software<\/strong> and water systems management and mathematical modeling solutions software. They have decided that the best option for this driver would be open source with the collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.<\/p>\n The new perspectives which were offered due to their mind set change brought then into the stage of abandoning traditional engineering services in order to concentrate in the development and implementation of the new software solutions and the training of their users.<\/p>\n In july 2014, the trademark BGEO<\/strong> was emerged, for this new era.
